Senior Designer | In-Flight Service Department
Delta Air Lines for 4 years
As Senior Designer, my role at Delta required me to wear many hats. This included designing promotional materials and computer based training modules. I was a member of the Global Technology council and In-Flight Services Principle Designer for enterprise applications.
I designed, managed, and facilitated print orders for the In-Flight Services Department. The average print job consisted of orders over 30,000 prints.
Delta Air Lines Onboard Point of Sale App "Prelude" (now called SkyPro)
The SkyPro point of sale solution enables near real-time credit card
processing for on-board purchases.
This high profile project later went on to replace the larger and more expensive M2 hardware. To date, Delta Air Lines has distributed over 30,000+ devices to Delta’s flight attendants across the globe.
In-Flight Entertainment Trainer App
I pitched and spearheaded UI/UX development of the first internally used iOS application which simulated In-Flight Entertainment troubleshooting and scenario based training.
Shortly after we released IFE trainer I was then tasked to create Delta Air Lines’ first paperless grading system application (eGrade). This software was used to evaluate flight attendants performance during the annual continuing qualification and requalification training.
We partnered with the Delta IT department to bring eGrade to life using only in-house talent.
Ready Set Jet made learning fun, engaging, and effective for Delta flight attendants stationed across the globe. For this project we outsourced the illustrations to a design agency in Chicago, IL. My role was to manage the project and to provide brand standard direction.
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”
